The Colbert Report

I've just spend 2 months in the US of A travelling with family and visiting friends! Its been AMAZING. I had never spent this long in the world's police land- ha, they have such interesting view of themselves. Anyhow, I've been quite immersed in their culture, with their youth and it has been really incredible. What most surprised me was how, in general, they know A LOT about their country, the different laws in all their states, their politics- and not only do they know, but are quite strongly oppinionated, which is quite cool! However, obviously depending on who you are talking to, don't expect too much knowledge on ANY other country (but i knew this before coming so it wasn't an issue) and expect everyone to think that Mexico is a drug land, which you should not at any cost go to (ugh fricking media).

So during my time here I was introduced with several political thoughts, traditions, stereotypes, history, tv shows, drinking games etc. etc. and one of my favourite and which I will carry on engaging with was The Colbert Report, which is broadcasted at 11.30 pm on Comedy Central or you can also watch it online at: http://www.thecomedynetwork.ca/shows/TheColbertReport. Its a great political comedy show, if you want to be up to date with american politics in a fun way! It also just happened to win the Emmy Award for Best Variety Series- breaking the decade long ' The Daily's Show' winning streak!!!! I just wanted to share it cause I had no idea it existed and Im a huge fan now!!

Farm in Uruguay

Today's post is about a very special place. My farm in Uruguay...
You know those places where you feel at complete peace, where you are far from all the hysteria, stress, non-stop rhythm of city life? Well, that's what my farm is for me...where I can be alone with my thoughts, just myself, and nature. Which is what I need right now in the middle of exams, snow and cold. So I thought I would go through my pictures and with calm music just pretend I am there for a few seconds. One can dream (and procrastinate) right?

Do you also have a sanctuary? Where all problems seem to go away?

Mendoza- Tierra del Sol y del Buen Vino

Today's post is about one of my favourite places in the world, where I lived 3 years ( and where I want to get married, not even close of having a boyfriend, but that is just a minor detail haha). It's Mendoza, Argentina's wine capital, a place that has an enchantment like few others, a place I once called home and where many of my best friends live.
So here go some pictures of Mendoza "La tierra del sol y del buen vino" ( Mendoza, Land of sunshine and good wine)

Having fun with the longboard!!

Hope you enjoyed these pictures :) Lots of outside activities as you see! Always good for the mind and body! haha
And what is your idea of amazing holidays? Or your secret little paradise on earth?
Besos!
